In this section, you will find a summary of the major advances that have enabled the development and the improvement of the quality of life at the orphanage as well as news from the orphanage on each of Vivi's trips.
The year 2016
1/1
April 2016: Vivi is laying the foundation stone of the orphanage with the villagers after they generously agreed to give us one hectare of land.
Construction of the water tower funded by the Rotary Club and installation of the pump. We now have running water.
Year 2018
The solar panels and batteries are being installed. They allowed us (before the arrival of permanent electricity) to have electricity, but intermittently. These solar panels have saved us from more than six months of living by candlelight in the evening !
Year 2019
Construction of the laundry room.
The minibus leaves France to arrive in Benin after a long crossing in a container !
The sentry box (in the background) and the fence are finished.
Year 2020
The minibus just arrived and a shelter has been financed by a donator !
Year 2021
The library is being filled ! Many books have been donated to us, much to the delight of the girls who read a lot !
Year 2022
Coline financed a concrete track built for scootering and rollerblading. The kids use it a lot, thanks to Coline!
Year 2023
Construction of the chicken coop.
The chickens are settled.
Year 2024
Our building painted blue by Canal+ !
The new playroom created by Canal+ is finished, the children are enjoying it !
Permanent electricity was given to us by a donor in Avignon ! In just a few years, we went from candles to solar panels to permanent electricity.
Year 2025
Martine offered us a new motorcycle at the end of her stay ! It will allow Mr. Aubin to take the kids to school, to go shopping... Thank you very much Martine!
We were pleasantly surprised to receive a generous donation from the children of Lausanne (Switzerland). The city of Lausanne set up a children council and concerned about the situation of other children around the world, they decided to organize a cake sale. A part of the profits was donated to ACE. Many thanks to them for their wonderful initiative and to Loïse who supervised this action!
